Listen being polyamorous can be a little tough sometimes. Not just because you’re actively engaging in multiple unique relationships or because you have to grow out of toxic, possessive beliefs. But also because monogamous or polya-curious people don’t usually care about your emotional well being.

How many times have people known I’ve liked them, engaged in flirting, talking about polyamory, relied on me for romantic emotional support, and then as soon as someone else comes around or their relationship(they one they say or infer is developing into a polyamorous one) improves, it’s like I wasn’t even a real person to them?

Anyways, I’m so happy I’m at the point in my polyamory where I can recognize when someone doesn’t have mine or my families interest at heart and even happier that I’ve met so many beautiful polyamorous people in the last couple of months. Having these lovely people around has made such a difference just by teaching me what healthy and thoughtful non-monogamy looks and feels like.
